This reasoning model, focused on mathematical education, can efficiently run on ordinary consumer-grade GPUs, becoming the first low-cost and high-performance AI educational tool in China. In a series of mathematical reasoning tasks, 'Ziyue 3' has demonstrated outstanding performance that surpasses many large-scale general models. The 'Ziyue Math Model' achieves this through large-scale reinforcement learning and a series of innovative algorithms.

On January 22, 2025, NetEase Youdao officially released the first inference model in China that supports step-by-step explanations, 'ZiYue - o1'. This model features a design with 14 billion parameters, enabling efficient deployment on standard consumer-grade graphics cards, marking a significant advancement in the application of artificial intelligence technologies in the domestic education sector. 'ZiYue - o1' utilizes Thinking Chain technology and incorporates self-dialogue and error-correction mechanisms, allowing it to output detailed thinking processes when solving problems. This way, students not only receive answers but also understand the logic behind problem-solving.

"Ziyue-o1" is a lightweight 14B single model specifically designed for consumer-grade graphics cards, capable of stable operation on devices with low VRAM. The model utilizes chain-of-thought techniques to provide detailed problem-solving processes and logical reasoning, aligning its operational methodology more closely with human thought processes. Through self-talk and self-correction, the model can generate step-by-step problem-solving processes, aiding users in better understanding and mastering knowledge.

Educational technology company NetEase Youdao unveiled the country's first educational large model 'Zi Yue' Version 2.0 at a launch event on January 3. The company also introduced three innovative applications developed based on the large model and a new smart hardware product. The most notable is the AI home tutor 'Little P Teacher', which provides students with question-and-answer support across all grades and subjects, and stimulates children's thinking through interactive communication. Youdao also launched the virtual oral English tutor Hi Echo 2.0 and Youdao Speed Reading, aimed at helping students improve their English speaking skills and quickly comprehend documents.

NetEase Youdao has launched the 'Yimosheng' open source speech synthesis engine, supporting both Chinese and English languages with over 2000 different voice tones. This engine features a distinctive emotional synthesis capability, able to synthesize voices that convey a wide range of emotions including happiness, excitement, sadness, and anger. Users can download and use it for free on GitHub and implement emotional synthesis and applications through the provided interfaces and script APIs. This project aims to help developers and content creators expand the application scope of high-quality TTS. NetEase Youdao has also introduced voice customization and voice replication.

Hi Echo supports free conversation and provides a comprehensive assessment of your speaking skills. It features a coach with a standard, authentic American accent. Covering 8 conversation scenarios and 68 topics, it is continuously updated. This allows learners to practice speaking easily and overcome social anxiety.
